App operation

The app contains no advertising, no analytics or tracking services, and no sign-in. App code does not transmit names, contact details, location, device identifiers, or usage profiles to us or to anyone else.

The app never opens an internet connection on its own. Counting, letters, recognition, read-aloud, progress and settings work entirely without a network.

Data on the device

Settings, learning progress, rewards and completed-session history live only on the device.

Progress can be reset in the parent area. Uninstalling the app deletes the stored data. A device backup (for example iCloud Backup) may include app data; that is controlled in the device settings.

Read-aloud

The app uses the operating system's speech output. It only hands over the text to be spoken; it records no speech and has no microphone access.

Whether the operating system downloads voice packs or sends text to a vendor service depends on the device and its settings.

Children

The app is designed for children up to five years. The parent area, every setting, and every link to the internet are protected by a parental gate.

Support emails

If you write to mail@michaeldewald.com, we process the information you send in order to reply. This is voluntary and is not initiated by the app itself.
