Standard

After you stop.

In Standard mode, the recording is transcribed locally after you stop.

Live

While you speak.

In Live mode, text is added during recording.

Then copy the text wherever you need it.

Keep the thought. Close the window.

Recording continues when you close the menu bar popover. Open it again to stop and see your text.
