02 / WHAT YOU SEE

The details matter.

The overview stays.

01Local repositories first

GitRepoMonitor scans repository paths you add in Settings. It can also discover Git repositories under configured scan directories. There is no account sign-in for this local core.

02Git state in one place

Each repository can show the current branch, extra branches, tags, stashes, worktrees, uncommitted changes, and whether it is ahead of or behind its upstream.

03Optional GitHub signals

Issues, pull requests, and self-hosted runner status are optional enrichments. They use GitHub access already available on the Mac. An optional webhook bridge can prompt a refresh; the app then re-reads current data through that same local scanner.

04Dependency glances

Where a project uses Node or Python, GitRepoMonitor can surface whether packages look up to date, constrained, or waiting on a Git sync before install work.

05Filter what needs you

The window or menu bar can focus Git, Issues, Deps, or a combined view, and narrow the list to repositories that need attention. Search looks across names, branches, files, issues, and packages.

GitRepoMonitor

A home for your repositories.
